Lentills and Full Liquid Diet

Did any one eat lentil/lentil soup...pureed of course during full liquid? It went down fine once liquified with chicken broth. Just wondering..I know it has a lot of protein. Just looking for feedback. Thanks in advance.

No but I did have creamed soups. I think it's fine, though, since they're high protein.

I love lentils and yes, I had puréed lentil soup. Last week! I'm six weeks (Wednesday) post op and still enjoying many creamed/puréed homemade soups.

I didn't. I had broth, water, and protein shakes only for first 2 weeks. After that I was on 2 weeks of soft foods. I had lentil soup toward the end of those two weeks. My dr said not to puree food or to rush food. But all dr's are different.

Yes and as time went on I would puree carrots and other veggies in there to get them in my diet. Make sure it is loose ( extra broth) not think. Too think hurt my belly.

Never tried lentil soup, but Pureed split pea with ham soup was one of my favorites. I also added unflavored protein powder to everything so all soups were high protein.

I ate a LOT of homemade potato soup. I pureed it with my fork and ate it every day for about two weeks.

During full liquid I had mostly split peas mixed with broth and meat or veggies with meat. If your lentils are well pureed with no pieces of skin left and the consistency is still liquid, you are fine.

I had lentils and they fill me up reallllllly fast! Lentil soup with lime is my favorite.
The line does not bother me. I know some people have issues with citrus , but I never have.
