Default 3 days left and all I can think about

My day is almost here and all I can think about is the things I can't wait to do when I get rid of this weight.
    *
    *
I'm going on a cruise to the Bahamas in Nov. Have to fly from Cali to Florida. Excited to see how much room I will have on the seat of the plane.
    *
Looking forward to shopping at forever 21 or smaller stores like that for a cheap price
    *
Looking forward to being able to really run again which I haven't done since high school 12 years ago
    *
Looking forward to playing more with my 6 year old
    *
Being able to fit on a ride at an amusement park and not have to come up with an excuse on why I can't go
    *
Can't wait to wear heels again like they are sneakers.
    *
Just to name a few things. What is something you all are looking forward to doing
    *

Someone on my other forum added not having to lift their skin in the shower. I love that one can't wait to not have to do that anymore

    Hi Nita,
Congratulations on your upcoming surgery. Your post is a great idea and to add to the list, I'm looking forward to not having to take insulin anymore. That's my biggie!

I'm obviously in a much different age group than you are, but I'm looking forward to:

    Playing with my grandkids
Long walks with my husband (who just got both knees replaced)
Not having to ask for a seat belt extender when I fly

Congratulations on your decision and I wish you luck during your surgery! I don't know about everyone else, but one thing I have had post-op that I didn't expect at all was increased energy! I was actually pleasantly surprised and I hope you have the same! It is great to get up in the morning and not be dragging around forcing myself to get ready.

Good for you~! Lists like that are great motivators. Here are a few of mine:
-Not being over the limit for zip-lining! I am already there and me and my kiddo are going this August.
-Ditto on the seat belt extenders (that sucked)
-Enjoy Disneyworld with my son (planned in 2018)
-Taking walks without back pain! ALREADY THERE
-No more metformin (hope for June follow up labs)
Life is good and I am so gratedul and happy to have the awesome tool of a sleeve!

Good Luck with your surgery. I was taking 2,000mg Metformin a day. No more diabetes in less than a month. So exciting. It will happen for you and will be so nice. Wish you much success.

It's almost here Nita! You're going to get all of that and more!! For me I wanted to be able to wear knee length skirts/dresses. Before surgery I had the nasty knee fat and could not stand the way I looked in skirts/dresses. Also, to not have to wear shorts under the longer dresses/skirts I did wear because my fat thighs would rub together and chafe. I went to the theatre yesterday in a knee length dress with no shorts underneath!! I was a little nervous about the no shorts but guess what? I forgot I didn't have them on as it went brilliantly!!

I had my surgery in 2015, however, I'm still looking forward to things...first it was everything you mentioned, sitting in a plane seat not needing the extension was amazing! When I ran my first 5k I felt like a million bucks! Now I can't wait to do a half marathon and wear a bikini again! Congrats and good luck, stick to the diet in the first eight months, let this work for you, this is a tool, you still have to do the work. Come back and post often, we are all here to support you.

So I'm almost 60 and I have bad knees, so I won't be running marathons or wearing bikinis after my weight loss, that would be scary! But I am looking forward to the following:

Shopping for "normal" clothes in regular sizes

Showering and getting ready without taking a rest

Going on hikes with my hubby. We live the best hiking area on earth!

Sitting in chairs and airplane seats comfortably

    Exercising with relative ease

Not being the fattest person in the room

Not having articles of clothing containing the letters XXL, "woman," plus-size, or full beauty.

Eating in front of people without feeling as though they are judging me.

    Happily having my picture taken!

Just some of the things I'm looking forward to, besides a healthy body!
It's never too late to be what you might have been . . .
