So I've only had my 1st consult with the surgeon thus far. We are in the process of selling some property and once that's done I will be able to pay for my surgery and begin the pre-surgical process. We're hoping this will happen this coming week (fingers crossed). He didn't mention that I needed to lose any weight prior to scheduling surgery. I think I'll lose 5-10 lbs during the pre-op diet, though. So in these last few weeks I've been saying "good-bye" to some foods I will either no longer be able to eat or enjoy in normal quantity. Sound weird? Once I start the process I plan on giving it my all - no sodas, fried foods, low carbs, etc. Did anyone else say "good-bye"? I'm doing this responsibly, of course. Not wanting to gain any weight prior to starting. Thanks!
