Anyone sleeved by Dr. Lopez Corvala at Hospital Angeles?

I would love to hear about your eperience with Dr. Corvala.

There was a previous member, sleeveroo, who did EXTENSIVE research on Mexico surgeons, right down to the serial numbers of the staplers used in surgery. He chose Dr. Corvala and Hospital Angeles and had a great experience. He hasn't been active on here for over a year, but you may check out his posts for info or even try and PM him in case he's still getting email notifications from this site. Like I stated in another post, I, too did extensive research and Dr. Corvala was one of the top two on my short list. For me, it came down to the facility. I preferred a surgical center (Obesity Control Center) while sleeveroo preferred a full service hospital. I don't think you can go wrong with your choice.

Thanks for that info, I too am doing more research and found that OCC and Hospital Angeles were my top two choices. I'm so glad to hear that you had a good experience with OCC, I'm leaning toward that being my top choice.

I am scheduled with Dr. Lopez Corvala in about 30 days. I am traveling alone, and was very nervous about getting surgery in Mexico. Only you can decide if a surgeon meets your needs, but when choosing mine I looked at experience, online review, facility, and cost when weighing my decision. I will say that the package he offers allows for 2 nights in the hospital. One of his past patients I met online suggested that you allow one day in Tijuana in a hotel to recover as well, so this is what I have decided to do.

I'm excited for the next month, nervous, but excited. Keep track of me and Ill share my experience post-op.
