    Default Officially in a Stall

I am becoming very frustrated. It has been two weeks and I have been playing with the same two pounds over and over again. I will admit that I have not been perfect food-wise. Yes, I stay completely away from carbs, try to keep my protein first and foremost in my diet, drink as much as I possibly can (though it's never the full amount I should get), have added a workout twice a week and cardio on a third day, play golf two or three times a week. That is WAY more exercise than I have ever gotten. Here is where I know I am failing...I am drinking alcohol in some form socially pretty much every day. I know my calories are not high, but I think the cocktails are getting in the way of losing. I am pledging to not have anything at all this week and see what happens. People have been so complimentary about my weight-loss and lately I am beginning to feel like a fake and a cheater because they are all so supportive and I feel like I'm letting them down as well as myself. Not a good feeling.

The times I've stalled I was actually eating too little protein. I also have gotten to the point that I'm eating 3 meals and avoiding snacks. In the beginning I could eat so little I had to snack. I do have a bite here or there when needed, though. I listen to my body. Maybe with the amount of energy you're using you need a protein bump. Maybe add another shake?

It was never an issue for me since I haven't drank since 2001 anyway but in my mind # 1 empty calories and # 2 drinking might lower your judgment and with even a tiny buzz on you might get the munchies and overeat or eat late at nite; things bad for you etc.
Friend of mine had it done a year prior to when I did (I had mine in June 2012) and she lost weight then gained it all back and more but she drinks all the time.
You started at 190 I was at 172 so both pretty much a lower BMI Good luck

I agree that even a little bit of alcohol clouds judgement. I use to have a few ounces of wine at night to help sleep and it did. But I also found that I then munched out as well.I am 6 weeks out from surgery and trying not to start certain habits back.
