What do you eat and how much usually?

More importantly when was your surgery?

I had mine December 29th and spent the next month being happy with eating half a chicken strip or half a small chicken breast or one cup of soup. Now 3 months out I can eat a whole piece of toast...but it takes a while. Same for a whole chicken breast and one cup of soup. I can have a chic-fil-a sandwich but it takes several hours to finish.

There are those on this forum that say eat whatever you want because you are mechanically/physically limited in how much you can eat. So, theoretically you could eat nothing but donuts every day, but it will take you an entire day to get one donut down. So you'll still lose weight because you're taking in 300-400 calories a day while burning 2000 calories a day.

Others say, we got ourselves to the point of needing surgery because we didn't and/or couldn't control what we ate. Now that we've had the surgery, its time to put on our big boy or girl pants on and eat the way the surgeon tells us to so that we can live long enough to see ourselves skinny.

But the main thing is that if you're, say, 2 weeks out and having a lot of pain you need to go see your doctor. If you're 2 months, you sound like you're at a normal stage like I am. If you're 2 years out, you should probably go see your doctor because your stomach should have relaxed enough now that you can eat a little more with less pain and be more educated in what makes your new stomach hurt and not hurt.

    hope this helps amiga!

    Keep us posted.
