Lisa, dear girl, you are having such a rough time of it. What a mess but it sounds like they have a plan to rectify everything. It's bad enough what we have to go through for the surgery, but you're situation just raised it to the nth degree. I'm so sorry it got rough on you. Just know that I and others are here for you, cheering you on, and hoping for the very best for you. We're all on this journey together - you're not alone.
Best wishes, my friend.
So sorry for all your troubles, Lisa. I had mine, too. Mine were different, but what you say is true... it's very hard to find a doctor that wants to take care of you when they aren't the original surgeon. I had my surgery here in the States but 5 hours from home. When I developed complications, I met a lot of asshole doctors that were perfectly content to let me die as they weren't going to touch me. I finally got a good one that took me on and got me well. Thank goodness for that man! It makes me so angry that doctors can get away with not treating a patient. It doesn't make any sense.
My daughter had similar issues with doctors not helping her when she had complications a year after me. Unfortunately, hers will never be a distant memory. She is left permanently disabled. I hope the doctor that refused to run tests, treat, and even straight up said she was faking burns in Hell.
As for you, I hope you are soon on your way to it all being the distant memory your new doctor claims. I hope you come out of this feeling healthy and happy. All the best to you.

The doctor that was supposed to do the TPN when I got it the first time didn't follow through and basically the pharmacy gave it to me for 2 weeks for free. IDK why no one really wants to help me with pain management, I'm going to end up back at the ER, because I can't really take all this. Nobody wants to take my insurance and so that part of what I want to warn people about. You go to Mexico and have problems, you may have problems getting treated back here.
Thank you, I'm so sorry to hear about your daughter, that's just terrible. My surgeon said it was the right thing to do, putting the stents in and he said he was going to take them out since he put them in. He also said he would follow me on the TPN, but it costs about $700 or $800 a day without insurance, I can't afford that. So I'm just trying to get in as much protein as I can & hope for the best when the stents come out.
Dang, girl! Youve lost 75 lbs! Not good that you were the one to have the complications, but the surgery is working, so there's that!

I find it so crazy that you can't find a doctor to treat you because they were not the original surgeon. I mean, do they just want you to continue to suffer?? It is actually infuriating to me that they are doing that to you. I am so sorry honey. I really, really hope that your stomach will be healed soon. I am sorry you had to go through all of this. I know that my work had me get paperwork done for short term disability just in case there were complications, but thankfully I had none. I hope that you get better soon and are able to start eating and drinking soon. Big hugs and prayers your way.
Thank you so much, I'm sure my stomach will be healed on the 8th, it's just making it until then. Thanks for the kind words & prayers from everyone, they are greatly appreciated. One things for sure, I don't think being heavy will ever be a problem for me again once everything is resolved and I lose this original weight. I'm never hungry & I have no appetite, I haven't ever since the surgery. When I smell food, it smells good, but I don't really want it. Food just doesn't even sound good...
