I'm having surgery on March 10th and curious what you are eating a year out. What do you you usually have for breakfast? Lunch? Dinner? Do you eat any snacks? What amount of foods do you eat? What is your favorite?
I have not eaten yet today because I typically skip breakfast. All I have had is coffee. Here is what I ate on Friday...keep in mind that I am nearly two years out.
Breakfast: three cups of coffee
Lunch: 4 ounces of meatloaf; 2 ounces of mashed potatoes & gravy
Snack: 1.2 ounce bag of protein-fortified chips
Dinner: 4 ounces of meatloaf and 4 ounces of southwest salad

Breakfast: 3 cups of coffee with milk, plain Greek yogurt with fresh strawberry slices
Lunch: Protein bar, 30 grams. (At baseball game, quick and easy)
Snack: Turkey Jerky
Dinner: Baked chicken breast, from Trader Joe's, 3 ounces, fresh sautéed spinach with parmigiana cheese
I have had 80 ounces of water today and will have another 32 by bedtime. I do not include coffee in my water intake. I drink a lot of water and always have. If I need a snack before bed, I will have a piece of fresh fruit, cheese or Halo ice cream, whatever I have a craving for.
I am only 4 months post op (in 2 days) but thought I would chime in anyways.
Venti nonfat latte from Starbucks with Splenda.
Some ribeye and corn.
Protes Protein chips. (3 g carbs 15 grams protein!!)
Spaghetti with meat sauce.
2 sugar free popsicles.
I don't usually eat carbs like breads and pastas but I do on occasion. Tonight was one of those nights. I don't know my exact portion sizes as I don't track but I can tell you that they're not big. I had to buy special containers to bring my lunch in because it was weird having a big container with a tiny amount of food. LOL.
Only six months out but..
Breakfast is typically a protein bar or two scrambled eggs
Lunch is usually chicken or tuna with cottage cheese or salad
Dinner is whatever the wife makes - roast chicken, grilled fish with veggie and maybe a starch
Snack is often a sugar free jello pudding or my new favorite Breyers no sugar added sea salt caramel ice cream, nuts or protein bar
I'm about 2 months out. Yesterday I had:
Breakfast: 2 slices turkey bacon, 1 scrambled egg
Lunch: 2 slices of deli roast beef over some romaine lettuce
Snack: premier protein bar
Dinner: 1-2 ounces of steak, probably 2 tablespoons cooked spinach, and a few bites of parsnips (dinner for family was a hello fresh meal, it was delicious).
