Default Non-lucky Right Now, So Nervous

Last week, I broke a tooth and found out it can't be saved. Will have the extraction and start of implant this Tuesday (2/28/17). Why me??!!! Just need my pity party for a moment. My nerves are on edge for the upcoming surgery. I have problems with anesthesia (coming out of it, somewhat allergic) and that's all I can think about. I guess the broken tooth can be viewed as a distraction... but, $%#@#$$!!! Ugh!

I'm so sorry for your crappy luck! I hope all goes well with your implant! You should be fine for surgery. Cheers, Patti

Hi Patti, welcome to my pity party. Hats and streamers are on the left and we're serving Crystal lite cocktails. Seriously, thanks of the kind words and not telling me to (pick one) get over, move on, stop being a baby, etc. I really appreciate it.

You have a lot going on to prepare for the upcoming surgery and this tooth issue just adds more anxiety on you! Once it's over with, you can focus on your new future with the sleeve.

Me too! Me too! I discussed this with the surgeon, pre-op nurse and most importantly the anesthesiologist. He gave me something in my IV during surgery and something afterward to take care of nausea. I did not have a bit of nausea thanks to it. Just make your anethesiologist aware,.. make sure you really get his/her attention about it and they will take care of you. Scout's honor!

I'm not sure I am technically allergic, but I have always had a terrible time with anesthesia. It makes me so incredibly sick.

Good golly Miss Molly - you sliced off the tip of your finger! Jump into my pity pool party, girl. Sit down right next to me and let's drink some imaginary merlot. A botched root canal; let me top off your glass. Dang, life can be so sucko. Oy vey squared, babe!

Oh yeah, I get sick too! It got really bad two operations ago (disks removed from neck), I had to be intubated twice and I didn't wake up for 8 hours. But, the last operation (gall bladder), things went better. I was sick when I woke up but had no other problems. It runs in my family on my dad's side. Lordy mercy, glad I have met someone else who had problems. Cheers to you. Let me grab my imaginary bottle of merlot and pour your a glass. Jump into my imaginary baby pool with me, the imaginary massage therapist should arrive soon. (Loving my images, if I do say so.)

Hey, join my pity party! We just arrived at Copper Mountain Colorado with our whole family and I can't ski tomorrow after fracturing a vertebra in my neck and breaking 2 ribs. And skiing is my number one favorite thing in the world. But I'm cooking and doing dishes. AHHHHH!!!

Life isn't always fair. I should have stayed home, but I do get to see my adorable grandson. And I think I get my neck brace off after a few more weeks!

So sorry. That really sucks. And I have issues coming out of anesthesia as well but did just fine with the surgery. The initial hour after surgery I felt sick and in pain and then I was fine. Just initially had some dry heaving. Even with that, I would do it all over again in a heartbeat!

Goodness gracious! Get to feeling better soon and enjoy the grandson! I'm currently visiting mine too! I just adore him! All these things happening while visiting my son, he is super worried I am falling apart, which is further from the truth lol!
