The worth part is the first three days. Just drink plenty of water, and once the carb withdraw will go away you will feel better! Good luck and take care!

Hang in there! It's your body detoxing. Just look at it like it's your inner child throwing a fit, right now you can practice self parenting skills to stay focus and comply with your doctor's instructions. As Sandra said it will pass as soon as your body starts using your stored fat reserves for energy.

In the meantime, visualize the slender, leaner and healthier you!

    You got this!!!
    HW: 245lbs (11/15); SW: 226lbs (5/17/16) - Height: 5'6"

    Post-Op Weight:
    M1: 211.3 (-14.7)
    M2: 203 (-8.3)
    M3: 196.5 (-6.5)
    M4: 191.5 (-5)
    M5: 186.3 (-5.2)
    M6: (?)
    M7: (?)
    M8: 179.4 (-6.9)
    M9: 177.1 (-2.3)
    M10: 174 (-3.1)
    M11: 171.5 (-2.5)
    M12: 171 (-.5)

Of course you're feeling weak. You are functioning on a fraction of the calories/carbs your body is used to. I had a wicked headache, was dizzy and fatigued and VERY crabby during my whole preop. Most people say it gets better after the first 3 days, but for me it was awful the whole time. But it was only for two weeks (OK 5 weeks of liquids if you count postop, too) and I wouldn't trade one single minute of it considering the end results.....100 pounds lighter, size 22W/2XL to size 6/S, normal BP, zero knee, back and ankle pain, and tons of energy!!! Hang in there and keep your eye on the prize.

Kindle, I love when people talk about all good stuff that also happened with them, primarily their improved health. Going off meds, stronger body and mind, less joint pain, etc. Thanks for sharing that, it really motivates me!

That was my experience as well. Three days seems to be a milestone. Just take it one day at a time and by day 3-4 you've got it.

Does anyone have any other suggestions for two week liquid prep diet besides the following: greek yogurt, protein premier, tomato soup. broth, flavored water, sugar free jello?

I blended my miso soup. The tofu and seaweed kept me going and it was delicious!

If you want to get away from the same old chocolate/vanilla protein flavors, Syntax nectar comes in lemonade, grape, peach, cherry, cookies and cream, tropical, orange, etc. I used Torani syrups to create custom flavors. Several companies make a coffee/cappuccino/latte protein drink. I also drank tons of decaf herbal tea, both hot and iced.
