Nausea and Vomiting Several Weeks Post-op

My surgery was a couple months ago. I've not had nausea until about a week ago and it led to vomiting a couple times. It happens after eating but I don't vomit the food,.. just a bunch of foamy mucus. I was not able to reach the nurse at my surgeon's office today for answers so I was hoping to get some info here. Does anyone know what causes this and if it is somewhat normal?

All I did today was take a couple licks of peanut butter on a spoon and started wretching for a couple minutes. The last time it def could have been eating too fast but not today. If you know anything at all please share. I'm a little concerned and won't be able to get anyone at the doctor's office until after the weekend.

I get that when I overeat. The foamy puke is common. I know I have read it from others on here. So for me personally, it has always been when I ate too much or too fast and it upset my stomach.

I had that a few times when I ate and had too much water with my meal. I learned that a few sips are okay here and there but too much caused me an alarming feeling like I was going to throw up.

Only once it happened that I had not eaten anything, but it was caused by taking medication on an empty stomach. The worst feeling ever!!!! I had to take Pepsid to calm my stomach down then I ate a piece of bread to get rid of nausea.

I agree, this has only happened when I have eaten too fast or overeaten. I take a previcid, every few days or so and then that feeling doesn't happen.

Do you still have your gallbladder?

I've never vomited since surgery, but I know some people do. It's still a good question for your surgeon Monday morning! Feel better.

I have been really struggling trying to eat too and vomitting immediately after. It didn't seem to matter who little I ate or how slow. Then I suddenly realized it was more of an acid reflux. I went to the pharmacy yesterday and got a good antacid and it made the world of difference. Maybe your vomitting is coming from acid reflux as well. I was even having trouble getting water down it was so painful.
