Just a little light hearted funny I thought some of y'all would enjoy. I have a patient who, almost daily, her sister before coming in to visit her for the day would call and say, "I'm at such and such place, can I bring you something for lunch?" It's not common knowledge at my place of employment that I've had surgery so, I'd just say, no thank you, I'm trying to eat more healthy and I'm tracking what I eat, etc. One of my best friends, who also doesn't know I've had surgery, has seen my recent loss and has started tracking her foods and eating more healthy as well. She is one of my CNAs and has also told this family member "no thank you" when she offers food. This patient discharged home yesterday. And. prior to her leaving, I received a wonderful basket of flowers delivered to my desk from her and her sister. When I thanked them, they said, well, we know none of y'all are eating so we didn't dare send food! lol
And! I had one of my med techs tell me yesterday that I need to start buying smaller scrubs because mine are getting WAY TOO BIG!! YAY!!! That makes me so excited to hear!
