hello everyone I have a question
It's impossible to predict how you will lose. Just think marathon, not sprint. My surgeon gave me an estimate of what I would lose in total and I almost reached it at one year. At the beginning I lost very fast, then had stalls and more stalls. But I never lost one pound a day. That would be more for a man I guess.
How you lose depend of your age, gender, starting weight, genetic, diseases, medication etc. The best way to achieve your goal is stay focused on nutrition, take religiously your vitamins, drink enough water (not enough = not losing) go to your post-op and do you blood tests. To make is short : follow the guidelines. But think marathon.
Good luck!

I averaged about 15 lbs the first 8 months, and once I figured out my final game plan, I averaged 20 over the last 6.
You will need to pay attention to the four pillars.
Nutrition
Hydration
Exercise
Supplements
Find the right combination of those four and you will lose most, if not all, of the weight you want to lose and will keep it off afterward.
Hello, I am currently 5 days out from surgery so I can give you that much of a timeline. my surgery date weight was 264 and I stepped on the scale this morning to find that I have officially lost 10 pounds so far. I believe the weight loss is larger in the first few months and begins to wane as your body becomes accustomed to your new lifestyle, but that just means its time to ramp up the calorie burning activities. Good Luck!
Please note that our beloved Tinman ^^^^ weighed 530 pounds pre-op. So unless you weigh close to that much you won't lose nearly as fast as he did.
Unless you amputate your legs.

Ok...Ok.....you got me.
I was bragging a little bit.....well....a lot......lol!
And for the record, I amputated over five 50 pound bags of dog food.....everytime I pick up a fifty pound bag of dog food, I think, "How in the hell could I have ever toted around five of these all day every day and night!"
Life does not suck.
No, it does not suck!

I'm almost 5 months out and have lost 130 lb. So i'm averaging about 26 lb per month. But like ann2 pointed out about tinman i was 5'11" 431 lb at surgery time. So the higher the BMI the faster it will come off. And take this part as you will but my doctor said guys seem to lose faster with the sleeve than ladies.
I was 187 on my date of surgery. (I lost 20 lbs in pre insurance requirements.) I am 16 weeks out tomorrow and I am losing about 1-2 lbs a week now. I have lost 42 lbs so far. Everyone loses at a different rate and lots of factors go into it. I am losing at a steady pace and I am ok with my weight loss. Your weight looks similar to mine so I would be surprised if you were to lose a pound a day.
