Hair loss!

Hello everyone,
I'm new in this forum and would like to get some answers if anybody can help.
I'm planning on doing the sleeve surgery in few weeks but I am concerned about my hair loss. I already lost a lot of hair these past few years and mostly after my pregnancy and my hair is very thin now. I'm very exited about the surgery but I'm afraid I'll get bold! Did anyone had the same experience? Is there anything I can do to prevent this? Please I need your help!

You will probably lose some hair, but I have never heard of anyone going bald, and I've been on this site over 3 years. A little less hair is much better than being fat, to put it bluntly! Take your vitamins, reach your protein goal, and best of luck to you. Some people take Biotin, but I never did.

The hair loss is temporary and no one goes bald. It will grow back after a few months. And it only happens in about 40% of sleevers so it is really luck of the draw. I am 15 weeks post op and starting to lose some hair but nothing major. I take biotin to help with regrowth and I feel like it had gotten my hair fuller prior to the hair loss. My sister is 5 years post op and she had lost some hair as well but it never looked bad. She cut it short and always did cute stuff with it. Her hair is totally normal now.
PS-I have thin hair as well.

I was sleeved in July 2016. I started losing a lot of hair around 100 days post op. I began taking Biotin before my surgery, but honestly, I'm not sure it made that big of a difference. My hair loss has finally stopped. Make sure you do not go below 60 grams of protein per day. I've read that most everyone experiences some hair loss, but i have no regrets.

I was sleeved 2.5 years ago and have never lost hair? I don't think this happens to everybody.

I lost a lot of hair about 5 months out. I was afraid I would go bald too. I especially notice it around my forehead. I started seeing fine baby hair come back in and it has continued to grow. My hair is now in the middle of my back and is incredibly thicker than a year ago. Everyone I've talked to said it has grown back.

For me I noticed that when I started slacking on my vitamins and protein intake it started to come out a lot. So that scared me enough to get back on track and real fast. It's growing steadily again.
