This is me at 5'4" and 108 pounds. I used to have boobs, LOTS of boob and curves. Now there's just bones. I never did have a butt, so that's not really anything I miss, but I sure do miss my womanly curves sometimes. Bones aren't pretty. This surgery worked too well.

Hi Katrina, Wow it did work to well. What is your day to day diet and exercise like? curious because I just had this surgery 3wks ago and we are both same height too.
I strongly urge you to consult your Doctor. You definitely look underweight and could be headed for Malnutrition. Hang in there,Tamera

Pam, it seriously makes no sense. If you saw how much and what kinds of food I eat you'd really not understand. It's absurd. For instance, yesterday I had:
Breakfast: Monster Muscle energy protein shake
Lunch: whole fried pork chop, mashed potatoes, English peas
Snacks: Wheat Thin veggie toasted chips with artichoke jalapeņo dip, piece of strawberry cake, 1 chicken fry, a bite or two of Mississippi pot roast, snack sized Twix
    Dinner: Whopper Jr.
Dessert: O'chunka chocolate ice cream cone
    Beverages: 6oz vodka/cranberry
I drink Splenda sweetened tea all day.

That's a pretty typical day for me except usually all of my snacking comes in at night me instead of throughout the day. I was too sleepy/lazy last night to get up for more than just the ice cream.

My mother is the exact same way. She eats all day long, probably even more than me yet she's skinny as a rail at 5'7" and 120. We eat far more now after surgery than before. It just doesn't make sense. I know it's really frustrating for those that are still struggling.

I wonder though, I've seen it a lot... people that cut out the carbs and go hard on exercise...it's always seems when they slack up even a little, they stop losing or even gain back. I never exercised or cut the carbs, so my body didn't get a chance to know anything about that. I wasn't even going to pretend to do something I knew I wouldn't stick with. I truly wonder if that has anything to do with it. Just a thought. And I keep waiting and waiting for it to catch up with me. Two years, three months, and counting, we'll see.

Tamera, right? It blows my mind. Those pictures are of me pushing out my belly, too! If I suck it in it gets all wrinkly and squishy, not to mention super skeletal looking in the ribs and pelvis. I'm counting on there being that inevitable regain eventually. Just hoping it isn't all of it. I can't seem to be a happy medium type of lady. I'm all or nothing, apparently. ;-)

Don't look at me or anyone else for your results. Just do you, and do the best you that you can. Hopefully you'll get what you're looking for. Best of luck to you.

Yeah everyone definitely reacts differently to the surgery. I wouldn't say low carb and exercise are the culprit, though. I think it is just like how pre surgery some people can eat a ton of food and not get fat and some people don't eat much and are obese. I see a lot of people on here who eat junk food and have gained a lot of weight back or only lost a small amount. So it really is hard to say. Good luck with keeping a little weight on.
