This is my first post. I'm 23 days out. excited and nervous. I started my phase in diet a couple of weeks ago and have dropped 12 pounds. Any pre op advice for me
Roger
Welcome, Congratulations on loosing weight already. I had surgery on the 24th of January. My surgeon was Dr Almanza. It was a fabulous exsperience. As far has advise for the pre-op stage is to follow Dr Almanza's orders from the W.L.A. Also if you have any complicated medical history make sure to bring copies of your records with you to Mexico. Example if you have had an Echocardiogram the Cardiologist in Mexico will want to see those records.
Please feel free to ask me any questions.Your welcome to even call me on my cell 360-601-7351 Good luck, Tamera
Aagghhh! Such an exciting time as your date approaches. I can say sip, sip, sip and walk, walk, walk. Be prepared to feel kinda cruddy the first week but it will get a little easier each day. Reach out whenever you have questions or need support. Heartburn in the beginning mimics hunger pangs for a lot of people so be prepared to get a good antacid. It helps a lot. For me in the first weeks warm liquids went down way easier than cold.
Take a small pillow to the hospital with you. Then carry it with you for about two weeks. When you hold it against your stomach to sit, stand or lay down you will knock down quite a bit of pain.
Thanks Roger. It has been an amazing opportunity to get control back in my life. Best of luck on your journey.
