    Default A little concerned

So I was 342 at first consultation in December and before surgery I was 323. Had easy surgery in my opinion because I thought it would be much more painful. Now it's five days out. I'm kinda really hungry and I don't have much of a problem drinking. I haven't had any hot or cold liquids and zero coffee or tea. My first weigh in since surgery s tomorrow.

are you taking something for stomach acid? Like Pepscid?
sometimes stomach acid makes us think we are hungry. Or possibly mental hunger?

I think what Luna was trying to explain is that after the sleeve we get this weird type of acid reflux that mimics hunger pangs.

    Yes!
The rumbling we feel in our tummy we may think is hunger is often stomach acid. It's not reflux in the sense we are used to pre-surgery.

Activate your mind. Do things that will keep your head out of your stomach. Of course you feel hungry, you are taking in about 200 calories per day. Now, your stomach is swollen from the surgery so you are not able to get much in right now. In your mind, you should still be getting in a minimum 2500 calories per day. In your body, you don't NEED anywhere near that. I am amazed still that I can eat 1200-1500 per day and still go to the gym and get in a great routine and not need to feed myself to not pass out. Pre-surgery, I could go to the gym and need to hit Chick Fil A afterwards to "curb" my hunger until dinner.

Once you get to soft foods, your energy will ramp up.
