Hello all! I'm looking forward to getting the surgery done because I'm diabetic, have sleep apnea, fibromyalgia, COPD, and Crohns. I'm hoping I'll be able to come off some of my meds once I lose weight. i have about 90 pounds to lose. I'm glad I joined this forum to see everyone's progress as well.

Welcome! I'm with you: I am doing this for my health and wanting to be rid of meds. High bp; high cholesterol; severe sleep apnea; rheumatoid arthritis; fibromyalgia; and crossed over to diabetic after 12 years as pre diabetic. I'm finishing up my insurance requirements now, and will hopefully will be ready to go in March. I was happy to find this forum and I've learned a lot here.

Day of Surgery Weight: 223 / Pre-Op nutrition diet: LOST 47 pounds
1 Month Weight: 202 (-21 lbs.) TOTAL LOST: 64 pounds
2 Month: Weight: 188 (-14 lbs.) TOTAL LOST: 78 pounds
6 Month Weight: 169 (-2) BMI: 25.7 TOTAL LOST: 97 pounds

I read so many stories about people being able to get off most, if not all, of their medications. Do you have a date yet?
