Default Stalled at 40 > run with it

Stalled at 40 days PO..... Now 48 Days, No negative change to the scale.... I guess it is time to shake things up a bit....
The only VSG rule that I have not 100% followed is the 8 Cups (64 Oz) of water a day. I drink constantly, shakes, soups, plenty of liquids, just not that much plain water. Now we even have flavored High Protein water. I'll admit got a little carried away with the initial weight loss, approximately 1 pound a day.... 30 Lbs in 30 days, how much of that was just water retention, now 33 Lbs in 48 Days. Reality sets in we do not want to drop weight that fast, we need the entire body to catch up... The Sleeve has done a great job of kicking off the initial 33 pounds, Now it is time for us to take the baton and run with it...... You' all have a Great Day!

I haven't had my surgery yet but I watch millions of YouTube videos lol. What I've heard from many was eventually many of them stalled and couldn't figure out what to do. Then when they said they got all there water and protein in the stalls broke

I hit my first stall this week too. I started working out 1.5 weeks ago so I wonder if I need more protein. I've heard of the 3rd week stall. Guess for both us it was a little delayed! Hang in there and keep on sipping!

Stalls are completely normal. Just keep moving and making sure you are following the rules. Your weight loss will start up again. I only had the one stall so far but people often have more than one. And you have lost a lot of weight in a short amount of time, I am sure that your body is just catching up. Are you taking progress pictures and measurements either weekly or biweekly? Sometimes when the weight is not dropping you are still losing inches. Good luck!

Stalls are normal and expected. When you lose in 30 days post-op what your body would normally lose in 3 months with a diet, it needs time to "rest". Anyway you don't want to lose weight too fast because that wouldn't be nice for your skin. Just keep following your guidelines and wait to be cleared for work out. I was cleared at my one month post-op visit. It's not a sprint, it's a marathon. The sleeve will be there for ever, we just have to use it the best way possible. Have enough protein, water, take our vitamins, have regular blood tests to make sure we don't have deficiencies etc...that's the only keys for success. That and to be be patient!
    Take care.

You will hit multiple stalls throughout this whole process. I currently just broke one this week. Watch that you get your proteins in and drink plenty of water(it clears out your system). Also, watch your salt intake. Prepared/frozen meals are loaded with sodium. It will crush any good you are doing. Your DNA is amazing. Genetically, you are still a caveman and living scarce meal to scarce meal so when you start to lose weight the body fights it thinking it needs to hold everything it can since you are clearly in a starvation period.

Ha ha ha!! one of my doctor from the bariatric team told me exactly that my "genes would save me from dying from famine when he would be dead months before me". And that I should be happy about it, even if it could get frustrating... It was pretty funny but so true!

    Guys,
Weight Stall is still on, but cloths fit better, I can put stuff in all 4 pants pockets. I lost my S7 Edge the other day and it was in my front right pocket. I guess we are on a amusement park ride for 365 days, better hold on...... I see a drop coming soon...... Have a Great Day...... Laura went under 199 days ago, her ride is going well too!
