Am wondering if the hospital in Tijuana is accredited? Does anyone know?
Hi there. If your asking about the hospital HMN, the answer is yes. It is a regular hospital were they have an Ob/Gyn dept. They perform plastic surgery,General surgeries. They also have an ICU. The OR is state of the art, the hospital is very clean and my hospital room was very nice and comfortable. The care i received from Dr Almanza and Dr Hernandez and the cardiologist was very good. The nursing care was excellent too. The hotel staff are very helpful and Dr Pompa and the nursing staff there was great too. I had surgery 1-24-17. If you have any other questions i would be happy to answer. feel free to email me at tleaa@comcast.net Goodluck. when are you having surgery?
I have yet to schedule...How are you feeling
I have surgery scheduled with Dr. Almanza on 3/13 and though I have confidence in my choice I have been getting a lot of negative feedback in support groups and from some family and friends. I am very happy to see you had such a great experience. Do you have any tips or suggestions to share?
I have not had the surgery yet.I am trying to find out Dr zhernandezs credentials. The surgeon should be board certified
Hi there, I feel good. I'm following the postop diet and restrictions carefully. I'm very active and enjoying life. I'm having trouble with heartburn so i now take something before drinking my broth. i'm looseing weight everyday and wearing clothes i couldn't before surgery which is a lot of fun. i'm so happy i did this. I'm also taking less meds already. if you have anymore questions feel free to ask.
Could you share more? How many had the procedure on the same day...How many leak tests were done... Were the surgical instruments wrapped for single use....Did you go by yourself......thanks
Good afternoon, there was 11 others that had surgery same day. We all did well no complications. They did 1 leak test on day 3. No one had any leaks. The medical supplies are from Baxter. I don't know if they use disposable instruments. I do know the hospital was very clean and the OR was state of the art. They use multiple OR's. Which give them time to sterilize OR in between patients. I've had a lot of surgeries and spent lots of time in hospital's. I didn't see or exsperience anything troubling. The cardiologist that does the pre-op physical was very thorough and he even needed my last echo because I have CHF. They ordered some extra test which they didn't charge extra. My Husband went with me, the hotel charged way less then what was quoted by WLA. Nice surprise. There were 2 ladies that traveled by themselves. You may want to ask for a room in the back because the street noise can be loud sometimes. They can drive you to the shopping areas. We had a lot of fun shopping and walking around on day 3. The hotel staff are very accommodating and nursing staff was fantastic along with hotel dr. Dr Pompa. Hope this helps. I'm here if you have any other questions.
Thank you so much.I have been walking the fence about this for awhile
Your very welcome. Please let me know how everything goes. If you have any more questions come up I'll answer if I can, if not I'll refer you to someone that can. Good Luck and I wish you the very best.
And how are you doing today....I will only have 5 days off from work...Do you think that will be enough
I was sore today and had nausea off and on I think from gas and heartburn. I still managed to walk almost 3 miles. Five days seems a little soon. I couldn't return that quickly but I dont know what you do for work. Make sure youll be able to access your clear liquids and follow your activity schedule and make sure not to do more than allowed. Hope this helps.
