I got pretty pictures... of my bones and muscles.

Went to my orthopedist yesterday to go over the results of my MRI of my shoulder. He says "There is one bright side to you being skin and bones. We got beautiful pictures. That never happens." Damn, Doc! Thanks? Giggle giggle.

So, I have a torn labrum, arthritis, and tendinitis. ANOTHER steroid shot into my muscles. I've lost count now how many that makes. I cannot have surgery. That's just not possible with me being my daughter's caretaker, it being my left shoulder that is hurt, and me being left handed. I need that arm! I'll continue for now with physical therapy, shots, and enduring the pain.

I think the max number of steroid injections is three. after that, they can actually cause more damage. If you knew you couldn't have surgery, why'd you get the MRI?

Hmm, Ive had more than three injections. I believe that one made number 5. I guess I had the MRI to find out the exact problem. If it were something more major, I may not have any other option than surgery. At this point the torn labrum isn't a major thing. It's major in terms of pain, but he didn't say we've GOT to get you into surgery.
