    Default Protein Powder?

I am a week after surgery, and tomorrow, I have my first checkup, where the doctor said, if all looks well, I am moving to the puree'd diet. I also am still using my Premier Protein shakes, but I'd like to start making my own for both variety and economy. Like the shakes, I have no idea what to look for, and was curious if you guys had any recommendations?

    Thanks!

First recommendation is to NOT buy a huge jar! Buy samples for anything that you want to try. Premier is my go-to for quick a meal. When I have time to make my own, I use Syntrax. ZERO carbs and ZERO fat. You can even mix the vanilla with peanut butter and a packet of swiss miss cocoa (sugar free) for a tasty reese like shake.

Maybe try something like this: https://www.amazon.com/Syntrax-Necta...Nectar+variety

You can also use the PB2 to add peanut butter with less fat. I always used the premade shakes for convenience. Since I started eating real foods I haven't used shakes as much. I just try to get my protein from food. I do still probably drink a shake a few times a week. I have noticed that if I don't get enough protein my weight loss stalls.

I drink a chocolate Premier Protein shake every morning and it fills me up for quite a while. I would like to make my own too.

Whey protein isolate. it is the best absorbing protein. I like the EAS Chocolate and the Vanilla Muscle milk. Both mix best with Unsweetened Vanilla Almond Milk. you can add PB2 or fruit to blend to get different tastes.

I supplement with MuscleEgg egg-white Protein, RAW Fit Vegan Protein mostly.

My favorite easy homemade protein shake is to blend: Yogurt, whole egg (raw), 1 banana, 2tbs PB, nonfat milk , a bit of honey and a few ice cubes. Add a cup of spinach kale mix if you're feeling adventurous. Yum!

Was the Syntrax protein powder Vanilla? Or Vanilla Bean Torte? Vanilla Cream? I have been tying to find just a regular old vanilla (reviews on the vanilla bean torte werent so hot) and am not sure what to try. I want to try your recipe!
