No matter what time I get in bed, whether I've just eaten recently or not, I feel " hunger". I know it's not hunger though, but it sure feels like it.
acid maybe?

Especially if you had dinner less than two hours before bed, it could be reflux. I usually have dinner around 7.30/8 and sometimes I'm hungry around 10 PM. I realized I don't eat enough during the day so now I have some yogurt and muesli around 9 (or cheese/nuts) and I feel better.
But last week we had a late dinner and I had reflux because it was just too soon to be lying down. My reflux is almost gone now, but it does show up at night if I'm not careful.
Also I think because it's winter my body ask for more fuel...I just have to be careful because the chocolate way is too easy...argh!

I've been eating more calories during the day for the past week or so, because I don't want to be one of those people whose body gains weight on a "normal" amount of calories and can only maintain on less than 1000 cals. Unfortunately, the side effect is....weight gain! lol

I had that feeling early on and a glass of milk before bed helped. I still feel the "need" to eat something before bed. I do think it might be acid, but keep an eye out and journal as it makes you more aware of any changes that might account for that feeling. Good luck!!
Relax, Pam, you got this and won't settle for anything else than your personal success
It can be thirst. Try drinking water before eating to see if that helps.
I'm often hungry during the day, but never at night. Are you having a high protein dinner? We always have the "rule of 2," a protein and veggie for dinner.

I think my body is just unpredictable and I have a hard time trying to understand what to eat. Before the sleeve I could know for sure that eating 1400 calories would make me lose weight around 2 pounds per week, whatever was my starting weight. That time is over!
During my post-op on 1/21, my nut said that the results of my scan show that I should be eating 1200 calories to keep losing because my BMR is at 1600. Since I walk every day it means I'm at least around 1800, good days 2000. I've been on stalls for ever those past months. I know my asthma medication was guilty but it should be gone by now. I actually started to track more last week and realized I'm often way under 1200 calories! So I'm trying to eat more during the day. If I have a snack around 4 PM and dinner around 8 PM then I'm not that hungry at 10PM. Also I try to have an herbal tea around 9PM, chamomile is great for my stomach if it's not brewed too long. I try to eat more now and I see my scale moving little by little. How weird! I know I didn't lose muscles in the last 9 months, only fat, and usually I don't eat more than around 70g protein per day. That gives me room to eat more veggies and little fruits but also little complex carbs. But apparently staying around 1000 calories per day was not good. I've been on my scale every three days recently, I'm going to give it a rest and check in one week/10 days because I can see I start to worry. I mean: I'm at my lowest weight in +20 years! what the heck!
