    Default Nsv

So the other day I went shopping with my partner's daughter to H&M.

Honestly, even their xxxl clothes have never fitted my style, or my body, so I was going just for the ride lol! Weelll, part of me was hoping.

I bought a fitted lined tweed blazer, a cute silk top, and a pair of skinny jeans for a steal!

Last night, we went out to a hot and new restaurant in our neighborhood. I took out the outfit with a little apprehension, but jeans (waist 33 their largest) went on like butter! No bulging anywhere! Made my butt look great too lol! Blouse (M) and blazer (14) fitted fantastic!!!

The best part was that I didn't even try on at store!!! Line to dressing room was ridiculous, but jeans and blouse were $10 each! Lined Tweed blazer $40! I thought if they didn't fit, I would give to one of my daughters.

✨It was the best feeling ever!!!

✨✨✨Thank you Sleeve for non scale victories!!!✨✨✨

The shopping thing is all new to me. I have stack of clothes that are way too big!! Woo Hoo! The other day I tried on the cutest blazer. I'm short so the blazer has to be short. It was an XL for 17.99!!! I was ecstatic.

This is the sweet gifts from getting this tool!!!!!

    Way to go, Shirley-poo!

i have yet to get new clothes since I work in scrubs, I don't really have much need for other stuff. Someone gave me a $50 gift certificate to a store, but it's only to be used for online purchases, and I have no idea what size I am! I have to go to the physical store and try things on so I'll know, but I hate shopping and trying stuff on. Ugh.

Congratulations to you - that must be the best feeling ever! I can't wait until I reach that point in my weight loss. I still have a ways to go, but I know it'll happen slowly but surely. I lost about 30 lbs. so far and I already feel better. I also have no regrets in having the procedure done.

Hi Pam - I feel the same as you about going to the store and trying on stuff. It's so much easier to go with sizes 1X and 2X, but once you go below those sizes, I suppose it's time to go to store and try clothes on. I have a tough time because I have arthritis in both knees so I have a hard time walking and/or standing around for long periods of time so that'll be a new challenge for me when I get to Size 16 or below. Right now, I'm still at 1X and 2X. Though 2X is becoming a bit baggier on me, but that's okay for now. Congratulations on your weight loss and good luck getting to your new goal too!

    Thanks everyone!

In my 8-month post-op my weight loss has been slow compared to others, but my non scale victories have kept me focused and determined a centimeter at a time. I have gone from sizes 18/20 and xxxl to 10/12 and medium (oh 14's at H&M I hate them! Lol!). When I went from 18/20 to 16 and 14 I had plenty of clothes in my closet from my smaller yo-yoing days, some of those clothes were probably a decade old lol! But I have away my 20/18/16's as soon I could fit into 14's. It was a great feeling to get rid of those!!! I still have several 14's I don't want to part with because I love those outfits. I'm hoping to get them altered. I have been wearing a lot of work-out clothes, thights and such these last two months. So the skinny jeans was a first since my sz14 jeans were kinda drooping in the butt area.

The few new things I have bought have been at outlets, Costco, Target and thrift shops since I don't want to spend too much money and I also seriously have abhorred shopping, I guess it's left over from years of not being able to find anything that would fit me or I liked.

I think I'm going to show a gain on my 8th month weigh in, too, Shirl. If not a gain, then a very small loss....

what's up with these 8th month blues?
