Surgery was on January 3, 2017.....husband had the same surgery on December 20, 2016. This is our adventure/journey together.
Congrats on your new exciting couples journey. There is another couple that was recently sleeved together!! That is so awesome to go through this with your best friend. How do you feel? How has your recovery been? Reach out if you have any questions or need support. I am 10 weeks post op tomorrow.
Lucky for both of you to be able to do this as fellow travelers. My wife is very conscious of what I can and cannot have and what my diet requires. But... She is not required to eat the same way so it can be two meals a night or me being tempted by things not suggested. So having a person along who has the same requirements and is experiencing the same struggles has to be a blessing and a curse because you can call each other out on your BS.
Good luck to you both and be understanding with each other it is a long hard journey.
Wow! That's an inspirational story and I pray that together, you and your husband strengthen your bond through your mutual suffering..i know, this is not an "easy way out."
It is a lot more challenging than most think!
I wish you the best success for both of you and thanks so much for sharing!
Both my husband and I are very overweight......he was the first one to mention doing the procedure and then I got on board. I have a friend tell me that he wishes he would have had his surgery closer to time his wide did....would have made it easier. That is when I knew we needed to do it together.
Had surgery on the 3rd and felt well enough to start walking that very Saturday. Also started back to work on the 9th. Feeling surprisingly good.
