I'm not going to give up, I'm actually trying to figure out what's going to happen (or not happen) during the next six months. Since I need to schedule my tummy tuck, I have some bad muscle issue and it need to be fixed asap in my next country, I'm trying to figure out where I will be next Summer on the weight side. The bariatric surgeon told me two years ago that I would lose around 110 pounds in total and I'm not far from his number, but I would like to lose a little more. Looking at your results is very encouraging! so many people have a regain at 18 months and you didn't!
I know that being able to cope without medication will probably help a lot to boost the weight loss again but I must say that those two past months have been a little disappointing, and I will probably get sick again very soon because everybody is sick around me with that crazy (suddenly) hot weather.

I already had an issue in May, a three day (strong) treatment made me gain weight, it took ten days to clear up from my system and be able to lose again. I did stress out at some point when I was looking at the scale. But now I'm futher along and the cards have changed!
Anyway, it's fantastic that you can still lose in year 3! very impressive! Congrats!

Xxjanexx -- it took me almost a year to lose my last 15 pounds.

It matters not a whit how long it takes to lose our excess weight.

It only matters how well we learn to maintain our weight losses and continue to get healthier. The journey goes on and on, even after the weight loss ends.

I am here as well - reading all the posts from the newbies with their panic at not being able to eat more than a bite or two - oh how I miss those days. I had my three year anniversary in November. I lost roughly 96 pounds in this journey - the majority of it in the initial 6 months after surgery. The weightloss stopped entirely at 7 months and have not lost any during the last 2 + years. I have gained 19 pounds & I live in fear of weight gain every day of my life - something I never, ever thought I would have to worry about again - especially those first few months after surgery. I still eat 100 % healthier than I have ever eaten - and I am still getting my protein. I exercise (treadmill) 45 min - 1 hour 5-7 days per week so I just don't get it. I have added some less than perfect snacks into the equation which I am sure is the problem but I have beefed up the exercise too. I do not drink much water or fluids - and in my quest to try new things (getting bored with the same foods day after day) I tried chicken noodle soup the other day & hurled after just a fourth of a cup. for some reason soup just doesn't work for me. I still have the restriction as long as I am eating chicken, fish, etc, but I can mindlessly eat more crackers then is good for me. I am not giving up though - and will come back from time to time for support. I am back to basics & increasing my exercise so I will post again in a month to report on progress. would like to lose those stupid 19 pounds. I was very happy with my weight before then - but I am still grateful in all ways for where I am today!

    Hello to you All
After reading through the responses i feel very uplifted. It helps to know I'm not alone. I read a lot of questions and responses in this site. I've been through so much since I was originally sleeved 2/2011. I was doing well until, BAM, depression set in due to changes in my life. I thought long and hard for some time to decide if having a revision to ByPass will benefit me. Well that time has come. Nervous, scared, excited and ready for a new start. Wednesday, January 18, I become new again. These forums really do help and I love the support responses.

aglb.... I'm guessing more water/fluids will be more beneficial to your weight loss than more excercise. Especially if you are going to add in more excercise. Water is required for fat metabolism, and without it, the fat isn't going anywhere. Studies show that drinking 1/2 your body weight in ounces is optimal for weight loss. Even more if you are exercising. That goes for everyone, not just WLS patients. According to that, I should be getting 70oz, but I typically get closer to 100oz every day. I tend to put on a couple pounds if I go 2-3 days without getting that much.

    Good luck!
