Well it turns out I had unusually high cortisol levels. In other words my anxiety was soooo bad I was causing stomach pain to an already healing stomach. I felt like the biggest jerk but the nurse was incredible because she said this is very common for bariatric patients. I'm still having a tough time but it's no way as bad as it was before. With the help of some meds I'm calm and relaxed.

I'm glad that they figured it out. Stress can wreak havoc on our bodies. Hopefully now that they have figured it out you will start to heal.

I had an Ileus from the surgery. After 5 days, I was re-admitted because my colon was paralyzed. Nothing stayed down because there was no room. But I had tremendous pain in my lower abdomen.

Oh wow, sorry to hear that. Glad to hear everything was corrected right? I was finally discharged and I'm excited for the next phase. Although I wound up hurling yogurt. But I admit I took that last spoonful too fast.

I'm much better today. Discharged about 9:30am. Stomach is fine thanks to Zofran. I did throw up after eating yogurt after I was already full so that's my bad. Other than that I feel great? Gonna weigh in once all the IV fluids pass through
