I had my surgery yesterday and all went very well. I've had no issues with nausea and vomiting thanks to my anesthesiologist treating that before I woke up post-op.
Pain has been manageable so far. I am 24 hours post-op and have been managing my pain with tylenol. I did have a couple half doses of morphine yesterday but that was given to me because it was ordered. I really think I could have done without it.
I've had no issues trying to keep my 'food' down,.. and by food I mean ice chips, broth and jello. That is kinda sort of possibly maybe food.
I'm now back home and taking it easy. I am so grateful that I went through with this and I hope that my experience will be comforting to those waiting for surgery. NOW,.. on to a slimmer me.

Yay....I am 3 weeks post op and started pureed today...Bean soup and some meatloaf.everyhing working great. Hardest part is not drinking with my meal but I am doing it. So true that your new tummy will tell you when you are full. Good luck onto a better you!!!!
