hi my name is esmeralda i would be having my gastric sleeve surgery on march 13 2017 with dr. almanza. I would like to know if after the surgebry any heartburn or nausea? any hairloss big concern for me and what vitamins i should start taking befoe my surgery? what protein shake i need to get im not familiar with the protein stuff.how everyone felt aftre surgery and flying back home. Im in the gym now and i know after the surgery you cant lift anything for like 6 weeks is that correct? im very nervous and scared? any ideas or help i could get i really appreciate it. thaank you

Esmeralda, I had the sleeve in January 2015. Dr. Almanza performed the surgery. Post surgery, I did experience some hearburn which I controlled with Nexum. That probably lasted maybe 1 - 1/2months. I had no nausea and no hair loss. You have to remember everybody is different. As for vitamins I took Vita-fusion multi gummy and a chewable vitamin D. The sleeve was the best decision for me. Good luck and be patient.
