I never told anyone at work and still haven't. It is none of their business. I said I just did a 1200 calorie diet, which I did.

I'm glad you started this thread thanks. My surgery is coming up on April 29th and I've decided not to tell anyone. My husband knows and will be with me, but that all. I've always been thin and so is my entire family and gained 75 pounds in 2 years. I literally have heard everything from "OMG I didn't even recognize you" to "What happened, how did you get so fat???". Yes, it was awful and painful. I've yo-yo dieted and tried so hard to lose it on my own and I know that I'll only be able to do it with the tool of the sleeve. I don't feel a need to share with anyone else, but who knows how I'll feel a year from now.
