    Default Gluten Free

I have been gluten free for several years now, not by choice... it is an allergy with horrible side effects.
Is there anyone else out there that was/is gluten free?
Did your surgery change that for you?

I am being told by my surgeon and dietitian that they feel I will do well transition to post op diet as I have had to abstain and restrict foods for years. I would love to hear your thoughts on this.

I have a friend who has celiac so I understand about the restrictive diet. I do agree that should help you with this kind of restrictive diet. Not sure that it'd make your allergy go away. I know the sleeve helps with lots of health issues but somehow I doubt it would help with with the allergy. Good luck.
