Surgery in less than two weeks. They told me I need to lose 10lbs or I might get rescheduled. I'm dizzy and tired everyday, trying my best to do two shakes and one small meal, but with work and life stress everyday, I'm really struggling. Advice?
I am on day 5 of my pre-op diet. The first few days stunk. I am feeling a lot better today. My surgery is on the 14th. Let me know if there is anything I can do to help. I started a video blog on youtube. Search for the channel "MyGastricSleeveJourney" I just posted my second video today.
Is it because of the diet itself? I really don't like sweets, and could not stand the shakes. They modified the pre op diet for me. I was able to have scrambled egg whites for breakfast (I sprayed the pan with cooking spray, no butter.) I could have a veggie salad with fat free Italian dressing for lunch, and 3oz of lean meat (not breaded) and a steamed veggie for dinner. The idea was to eat low carb, low fat, and under 1000 calories. I only lost 4 pounds, but the idea was to decrease the fat on your liver so that surgery is safer.
