Hello. Have you heard of a pouch reset? I've read up on a million things and come across it a lot when people have been in your position. Do a search for it. I hope that helps

Honestly I have tried that but I get so hungry when doing it. One week I did up my protein and I lost five pounds. I'm definitely going to try the pouch reset again, I'm also going to get on this site more often it keeps me focused on my goal and i always loved the support and motivation on here. Thank you for your reply I appreciate it.

Thank you for sharing your journey.

    I call this Triple A's...

    Awareness, Acknowledgement, Action.

    You have all three.

This is coming from a "newbie":

I made a 100% commitment to myself when I (finally) decided to do something to improve my rapidly declining health. That included Body, Mind and Spirit.

Similar to Ann2 I committed to 3 years of therapy...

I'm grateful to have the best therapist in the world! She's helped me get down to "Causes and Conditions". I've learned to cope with life's ups and downs WITHOUT turning to something or someone outside myself to make me feel better! Happiness is an INSIDE job! We don't talk about food or bingeing or anything of that sort, although she is highly recommended in WLS circles.

    I hope this helps...

Best of luck as you continue your journey! Please keep us posted!

Don't do a "pouch reset." You don't even have a pouch! Instead, do a meat re-set. Spend three days eating nothing but lean, unprocessed meat. Eat as much as you want, but only unprocessed meat (no deli meat, sausage, bacon, or jerky). After three days, add in green veggies and continue to eat as much as you want. No sauces, cheese, or anything like that. Calorie-free liquids only.
The first couple of days will be hard but after that it gets easier. You really need to stop eating sugar and carbs in order to stop craving them.
After you get done with those six days, set a daily calorie, carb, and protein goal for yourself. Get onto myfitnesspal or a similar app and track everything you eat religiously. Yes, it is some work but there are no magic potions or wands or shortcuts -- you are going to have to work to get these last pounds off but I promise you, you can do it. Good luck!

Oh yes and thank you, I was just thinking about going back to my therapist because sometimes I get so stressed and then my eating habits and focus becomes worse. Definitely a idea I am willing to try again because it truly helps. Thanks for your reply and advice it's greatly appreciated.

I'm having a similar fight as you are! I've ordered up my arsenal of protein supplements (I'm a vegetarian, so protein can be a challenge some days). To help with my bread craving, I've resorted my make my own flat bread using vital wheat gluten/rye flour/rice bran combo, resulting in a chewy, low carb/high protein and high five bread. Beans are back in my closet and I've started with my frittatas again and vital gluten sausages. Then there's the alcohol restriction too, which is easy to forget.

I made it it to my original goal of 145, and I realise it's very hard to maintain without extreme dieting and exercise, lesser quality of life and lower social interaction. My happy weight in the end May have to be a bit higher, so also consider that since you have so far to go. I wish you luck and keep us posted on your progress!

Thank you!! I went vegetarian for about 4 months last year and it was great I actually felt lighter and had more energy but I definetly understand the protein intake thing. See if I was at 145 I'd be so happy my goal is 130 and so short so every pound I gain shows lol. But we got this let's keep focused and going, thanks for your encouragement and kind words.

    Hello,

I am a little depressed. I am just starting my journey. Have been in it for 7 weeks. Starting weight was 178lbs and have only reached 163 lbs. I am looking at the amount of weight loss everyone has been able to lose, and I feel something is wrong. Can anyone help??????? I am not cheating or eating bad foods. Just feel really unhappy.

Hello, aww don't feel depressed, you've just hit a stall which is normal I had my first one around that time frame also what I did was increase my water excessive and protein and my stall broke. And by exercise I mean I just walked a lot nothing super strenuous. Try that and keep us updated.
