Default Any younger sleevers on here?

Of course, "younger" is a relative term. I'm a 31 year old male, pretty healthy (internally at least, sans the fat). How was your life afterwards? I've decided to do the sleeve hoping to use my age as an advantage to put my life back on track. Any one in the same boat?

I was 34 years of age when I got sleeved last year...

My life afterward has been similar to my pre-sleeved life. At the core, you will still be the same person with the same general personality traits and quirks. I was an introvert before the sleeve, and this aspect of my life will never change.

I admittedly have more energy and receive a greater share of positive attention these days, but the greater regard for my thinner existence is due mostly to society's deeply ingrained biases against fat people. I am still the same person as before, albeit in a normal-weight body.

    Good luck to you!

I'm 32. I feel like a teenager again most of the time now. I'm more confident, more energetic. I do more physically active things without even the slightest hesitation (before I would base whether I would do the activity on how much huffing & puffing I would be doing and how many people were around; was it worth the embarrassment?). I am more adventurous. In fact, I just got back from a trip to Iceland, where I hiked, climbed, rode horses and/or quads up mountains nearly every day. Before losing this weight I never in a million years would have done something like that. I had the most amazing time and can't wait to go back.

I'm still me, but a happier, more confident, less anxious me. Someone who doesn't hesitate to run to catch a bus or worry someone will say something to me about my size in a clothing store. I eat better, sleep better, work better, play better. I'm just...more content.

I had my surgery almost 13 months ago. I'm 28 and I feel amazing! At my previous weight, I could barely walk up a few steps to my house. Now I'm going on 4 mile hikes in the mountains. I'm in better shape now than I have been throughout all of my 20's, so enjoy!!

    Weight Loss:
6 Month Requirement with Nut = 41 pounds
    1st mo = 19 pds
    2nd mo = 19 pds
    3rd mo = 9 pds
    4th mo = 16 pds
    5th mo = 11 pds
    6th mo = 9 pds
    7th mo = 4 pds
8th mo = 1 pd (bad food choices)
    9th mo = 4 pds
    10th mo = 3 pds
    11th mo = 3 pds
    12th mo = 4 pds
    13th Mo = 3 pds

I was 28 when I underwent the procedure 2 1/2 yrs ago. A lot of older people say they regret not doing it sooner... I too wish I could take back the time spent on poorer quality of life issues from teenage years through my 20's. Post op, my life has been very active. I've done many crazy hikes and seen so many beautiful places my weight would have made it near impossible to see. I finally got to skydive and bungie jump. I've worn a bikini for the first time in my life. I like the clothes I wear. I feel way better about myself in general. If you're complication free, as most sleevers are, and even for minor complications, I think you'll find it's worth the improved quality of life.
