Default Day 11-up 6 lbs??? Help

Hi, so my stomach area is very sore, and I just weighed myself and I'm up 6 lbs, not a clue how. I believe it's water retention due to my impending period, and due to being in starvation mode. I can't cut back, because there is nothing to cut back.
Yesterday I put strawberries and half a banana in my protine shake, but used water as the liquid.
Feeling discouraged, but not defeated. Once my belly is healed, i still have stitches and drain in, i will start my routine. Once I am healed to eat, i will be focusing on vegetables and protine. But today, im in some pain and it's only 5:37am.

Should I be writing things down, maybe not enough water.

The first cycle I had after surgery I gained almost 10lbs of fluid. So yeah that's probably the problem. Don't obsess over the scale right now. For almost 2 weeks every month I actually stop losing. Then when it's over I drop quickly. You will be fine. Just continue getting your water in and it will continue to drop.

    Post op lost 16 lbs.
    Month 1-20
    Month 2-8
    Month 3-10

I would caution you to NOT eat too much fruits right now. Berries such as Strawberries are ok, they are low in the glycemic chart, and also low on calories. Banana are high in sugars, fat and calories for right now. I am 4.5 months post op and only use 1/2 a small banana a couple times a week.

If you are making your own smoothies that's awesome! But try adding raw greens like kale and spinach or chard, maybe broccoli later on, right now it may be too gassy for you.

Make sure your smoothies have protein as the main ingredients like nonfat milk, Greek yogurts, almond or peanut butter (there is peanut butter protein powder you can buy to save of fats and calories) a high quality protein powder with at least 3-5 grams of fiber.

    Best wishes.

Water retention, like Donna said. I came back from the hospital heavier...and TOM is the same...don't worry but do see a doctor if your pain doesn't go away. I had no pain at that stage.
Talking about stage, I was advised not to have strawberries until the end of the first month....it's because of the little seeds. Also no raw food either..but all guidelines are different.
