    Default PSA on Tequila

Ok, Been a bit. Had a shot of tequila with the wife out tonight. It was fine and only one. I want to say. I felt the warmth radiating from my stomach. This went away in about 5 minutes. Let me say. In about 10 minutes I was buzzed. I felt about 4 beers in after the one little shot.

Just letting you know. Maybe thats the way it will always be now. It won't cost much to get me hammered and have my wife take advantage of me :-)

I have heard that and what a money saver! I have a glass of wine to sleep each night and after surgery and healing, its nice to know it may only take a tablespoon to have the same affect....

Hum...I'm almost 9 months out and having a sauce in a restaurant that did contain alcohol without my knowledge (month 5) it was "flambé" but not written on the menu, I got really sick with only one bite and would not even think about drinking before I reach one year post-op....at least..that was really awful!
I was never a drinker before the sleeve, but knowing the size of my stomach and how fast alcohol will reach the blood stream during the early stages (and how fast I got sick) my bad experience was enough to keep me out of it...After one year, when the stomach is a little bigger it should be different. I will try some good wine for our wedding anniversary, I will be +12 months out.

That's interesting., I was wondering about that..... Meaning a less tolerance to alcohol after vsg. Maybe because it goes to the intestines faster and absorbs quicker.

Is it safe to be drinking that soon? I thought we were supposed to wait like 6 months or something.

I was also told 6-months. I'm afraid if I took a shot of tequila, it would come right back up.
