Highly considering True Results for my sleeve here in Houston. Any opinions? Thanks
I utilized the True Results location in Fort Worth and found the staff to be fairly efficient. They got me prequalified for the sleeve relatively quickly and arranged most of my preoperative appointments.
Keep in mind that True Results is just a franchise...they will not be performing the sleeve. The True Results staff simply refers your case out to participating bariatric surgeons after their staff has ensured you are prequalified.

I went to a consultation with them, and because my insurance specifically excludes any form of bariatric surgery, I went to find out about self-pay options. Their self-pay prices ranged from $15,000 to $20,000 depending on which procedure you choose, so I found it far less expensive to simply go through my own doctor and the surgeon he referred me to. With the self-pay discount it was $11,000, and they gave me info about financing options through a company that specializes in unsecured loans with very low interest rates for clients with excellent credit.
I had a consult with them and they were ok. My insurance has a bariatric exclusion so I wanted to see about other options. Their cash price was around $12,000 at the time (last year) and I just couldn't swing it. I asked about the ads they had that said they could offer surgery for as little as $4000 and they said that was if I had a hiatal hernia. Literally all they did was ask if I had persistent heart burn which is an indicator of a hernia and since I don't, they didn't tell me anything more about the discount program. I did some research and hiatal hernias are typically do not cause any symptoms so it just seemed to me they wanted me to pay the cash price.
Well, I wasn't going to give up so I went to Evolve which is over in Greenway Plaza area for a consult and they said if I wanted to move forward, they would schedule me for an EGD (put a scope down my throat) to check for the hernia and if it was there, my insurance would cover the surgery to repair the hernia and they would just give me the sleeve at the same time. Well guess what? IT WAS THERE and I am scheduled for surgery in 3 weeks. The folks at True Results just didn't impress me much. I am super stoked to be finally getting my sleeve though!!
