Home from Hospital today

Hi all,
i had my sleeve surgery on Monday and was discharged today. All went v well. I do have some pain and in general feel crummy!
My confusion is about starting the full liquid diet which includes soups, yogurt and protein drinks.

Does the 2 0z that I expect to be able to swallow of the protein drink count as part of the liquid intake? I know I'm supposed to get in 64 oz of liquid and 60-80g of protein. I just don't see how I can do that! HELP!!!

Also, I got on the scale when I got home and GAINED 5 lbs!!! Is that normal???

I think the answer is different with every one. my doctor said to count all liquids so im going to do just that

I gained 7 pounds from pre to post surgery. I think it was the liquids they pumped into me.

I was told count everything.

All liquids count. Just go easy on the first days. Very few people can meet the goals at first. Don't make yourself sick. I felt so much better 4 days post- op and now at 16 days I am great.
