So a couple questions;

I think I had heart burn the other day. Does it hurt further down (further down past my throat, whereas before the sleeve, it was at the bottom of my throat)? It hurt way different than heartburn PreOp. Went away pretty quick though.

Weight loss stall - I know everyone gets it; counterintuitive - could it be hurting me that I'm not getting enough food? I supplement with shakes but I just can't get down enough actual food yet.


Anyway, the journey thus far is awesome! My doctor says I'm in the running for most successful patient he's had.

Funny; Doc asked me about any left over pain. I told him it hurts a bit when I bend over towards the right. He told me to just not do that. Brilliant... How many years at school for that gem!!! LOLOLOL

October 29th is one year, I'm shooting for at least 75 total pounds lost - currently holding steady at almost 70.

So all's well, I'll update more later... Maybe some pictures soon... Went to a family get-together and got rave reviews on my looks. I don't see it very well so maybe I'll let y'all decide.

It's funny that you mentioned heartburn, I think I experienced for the first time this week, and it happened when I was eating the first bites after a four hour interval of no food. Never had experienced that before, I felt a slight burning sensation as my food was going down. I happened to have Pepsid in my purse, broke the no water rule during meals and took pill. It went away.

I also was concerned that I may have caused it, on Sunday I prepared my meals for the week and I made Chicken Vindaloo (just enough sauce to flavor). Eating spicy food three days in a row may have caused it. Lesson learned.

I'm also hoping for a 7O-75 pound loss for my one year mark since my first doctor visit.

Awesome!!! I can't believe it has already been 4 weeks! When you bend to the right is it the left side that hurts? That is the side the put the stapler in and mine hurt for awhile, especially if I drove a lot and sadly when I would get out of bed to quickly it would pull it. Just take it easy and it will eventually stop. I am in my 6th week and I finally feel okay lifting things and moving comfortably with that side.

I haven't had heart burn since surgery but have had 2 episodes where I've woken up chocking on acid reflux. Both times were because I had liquids an hour or less before going to bed. Congrats on the awesome weight loss!! I'm hoping to be at goal by Christmas and in the 170's by the end of next week. I have the problem of stalling for 2 weeks every month (woman thang lol) so that slows me down a bit.

It does sound like acid re-flux, might need discussed with your doctor, congratulations on your weight loss.

I've had some bad acid reflex even with being on prolesic. I even went to the hospital, them thinking it was a heart problem. They said try mylanta, it will ease it faster then anything. Also, some foods help like cantaloupe, and cherries and apricots.

Happen to me if I eat late and try to go to sleep,
Don't do that and raise you head up higher than you body.
Take something like tums to coat your tummy.
I'm on a stall here, but not given into temptation.
Still drinking lots of shakes, I like them and they are fast
I also worry I am not eating enough?
even though my fluids and proteins are good
