My surgiversary!

Hey guys it's my 1 year surgiversary! And what a great year it's been. When I started my wls journey back in March of last year, I weighed 355 lbs at 5' 5.5".
I was able to lose 41 pounds before my surgery during those 6 months I had to see a nutritionist in order for my insurance company to cover it.
Since my surgery 1 year ago today, I've lost another 106 lbs bringing me to a grand total of 147 pounds lost. I weighed myself and am 208 lbs.
I started out barely squeezing into my 5x shirts and 28 jeans that I couldn't even button up. I suppose you could say I was a 6x in shirts and 30 in jeans. Ugh.
Today I'm in 16-18 jeans and xl tops. I can shop just about anywhere I want! I'm in nursing school so I tend to be in scrubs about 40-50 hours a week lol.
I hope everyone is doing well with their weight loss goals. I have about 50 more lbs to lose, but who knows? Maybe I'll get to 170 and be super happy with that. Oh and I gained half of a inch in height this past year - ha!
I'm not sure how many inches I've lost off of my body so I'll measure myself later and let you guys know.

Wonderful, wonderful! You're such a great success for yourself and a great role model for others who have been sleeved. You really rock, young lady!

I adore your 0.5" height gain. Sure wish I could do that -- a couple of times.

thanks so much everyone for all of your support! It still feels wonderful being on the sleeved side after being on this site for 3 years watching everyone else be sleeved.
So, I just got home from class and measured myself - I've lost 65" total since March of last year!

I'm glad you posted your progress, I was thinking about you last week, I hope school with your little one is not too hard. They keep us on our toes!

I think we are the same size now, I wear pants in 16/18 and tops in L/XL (depending on how I can fold my bat wings in it). I also have around 50 pounds left to lose! We can do it!! (And in July my doc in France did say I'm 1 inch taller! it's actually more about going back to ma previous size before I became obese 20 years ago, but my youngest who was with me at the clinic found that really funny..."mum is over 40 and still growing up".. she couldn't stop laughing :-)
