    Default salads? chicken?

How far out were you before you could eat salads? How about something like grilled chicken? I'm struggling to get good food in on this soft stage and wondering how much longer I have to wait. I'm dying for some meat!

At 24 days post op I was still on mostly liquids, cottage cheese, tofu (my sleeve loved tofu!), and miso soup mixed with bone broth. I tried Pḥ (Vietnamese soup) their steak is deli sliced and tender, and I loved it! but I think I was 30 days post op already or very close to it.

Even at 30 days post op I tried adding blended tuna or chicken and both were problematic for me, my stomach was just not happy. I still can't tolerate them, I used to love both pre op.

I had my surgery the same day as you did. I can eat rice great its very good on my stomach. Chicken I didn't do to good on so Ill just wait a couple of more weeks to try again. Last night I had a sliver of a pork chop and it was so good. I really crave a salad too and am wondering the same thing when can I start eating them.

sometimes I eat the canned chicken and I am at 22 days post op. You have to make sure you chew it up really good. Also really thin deli meat but that has still be a little bit of a problem for me. You just have to take it slow and introduce one thing at a time.

I am around you guys. I had it August 24. I can not wait to have ceasar salad. Tuna and egg salad go down easy and so does hummus and guacamole. Have yet to try anything with meat. Hopefully I will be able to digest it. At 21 days I can slowly introduce "real" food.

Thank you all for posting, I didn't have anything in my bible about vegetables other than which ones to avoid!

I wasn't cleared to eat a small salad till 3 months out. Plus, you want to make sure you have your protein before you consume a salad. Remember protein first. Small salad second. I'm almost 6 months out and can now have about 2 cups of lettuce with about 3 ounces of protein. I do enjoy it but it's very filling. I too did miss my salad. I would definitely wait for 3 months.
