Default what are the best/ most cost effective protein shakes for weight loss

Hi... I am scheduled for my sleeve on 10/09/2016... I am very excited but scared as well... I've googled many different protein shakes/weight loss shakes ... to ensure I am getting the required amount of protein, as well as low carb/low sugar... I'd prefer all natural as opposed to some of the other things I have seen... ( chemicals, artificial sweeteners..) I found one that was exactly what I wanted... called Almased ....27 grams of protein, sweetened with honey, no chemicals, or artificial sweeteners,... but the cost is crazy high.... $83 for 30 servings .... thats $166 a month for only 2/ day.... I know I'll get my protein elsewhere eventually... but i only eat chicken or fish...no other meats... I want to watch the fats and sugar... anytime I have ever succeeded in losing weight in the past, I literally have to eat perfectly... low fat, practically NO sugar... lean proteins.... and low carbs...this surgery is a very drastic measure... I want to b able to succeed permanently.... period... what protein drinks do u use?? thanx

I use Nectar Fuzzy Navel by syntrax... tastes like juice
Do not get too much of anything, you might not like it after surgery.
Like choc premier protein at Costcos. I bought vanilla too.. don't like it, but someone said they put it in their coffee as creamer.
    Perfection will never happen.
Find a place that has samples... think unjury had a combo pack.
Sounds like you are ready for the surgery to change your life.
    Wish you the best

I use EAS Whey Protein Chocolate- 30g of protein, 0 sugar, 170 calories
Muscle Milk Whey Protein Vanilla - 32g of protein, 0 sugar, 160 calories
as an additive PB2 - 5g of Protein, 1g of sugar, 45 calories

The PB2 changes the flavor of the other two but also adds a kick of protein. The EAS and Muscle Milk have great flavor and neither clumps as much as the others.

thanks so much for all the input...I have used the HMR and EAS Myoplex in the past as well ... which are delicious... but also very expensive.... I agree.. dont get too much of one yet... I'd certainly like to try samples before I spend any money... ive already decided I'll b making my own soup & broths... Have u seen the price of soup????!!!!!! I was shocked...

I have used RAW Fit High Protein for weight loss, Tera's Organic Whey, NAKED, and Vital Protein, as well as Premier Protein, but a professional athlete and good friend of my daughter's told me that those have too many hidden sugars and I should try MuscleEgg. Last Tuesday, a week ago, I found a vitamin and health food store near me that carries the MuscleEgg brand, and I went and got it. It is a pure egg-white protein and it comes in several flavors. I got the chocolate one and it tastes amazing! I'm about to finish the 1gallon container that it comes in, yesterday I went to get the Chocolate Caramel. Can't wait to try it! (Xng fingers!)

I am 3.5 months post op and I try get most of my micronutrients from solid food, and I try to use protein drinks as supplement. Since last Tues. I drank MuscleEgg before breakfast, afternoon snack, and right before I go to bed (recommended by my daughter's friend).

    Each 1 cup (or 8oz.) serving has 26g protein, 3g carbs (1g fiber), 0g fat, and it's 140 calories.

Don't know if it's the MuscleEgg, or the fact that I'm exercising more this week (or maybe a combo of the two), but I was on a two week stall, and I weighed myself yesterday and I had lost 3lbs! That's the most that I have lost on the scale in one week since my first month post op.

I hope you find a good quality protein that is good for you and your pocket book.
