    Default Surgery Recovery Time???

I am due for surgery on Sept. 28th and I play golf. So I am contemplating playing in our club's member-member tournament with a friend, but the tournament is around Oct. 15th. So how quickly is it reasonable to expect to be playing golf again??? Note, I am no Jordan Spieth at golf - my handicap is 17. So I hit my drives usually in the 220-250 range. What can I expect from the surgery????

I can flat out say there would have been no way for me to get any kind of torque that soon after surgery. My doctor is blocking the gym until after one month post surgery. Your best option would be to consult with the doctor or the surgical coordinator.

I agree. Check with dr. Especially with the twisting and bending that is needed and also clubs are heavy. Not sure if you use a caddy or not.

IF it's any help, I played golf the afternoon of my vasectomy. Brought a whole new meaning to the words pain and "hit the ball".

I was released and had no restrictions except to keep hydrated and return to work in 1 week. I took 2 because i was quite sore and now I have to wait another week till insicions completely heal before I can get back in the pool for my exercise (bummed but better than infection) good luck and you should be fine just stay hydrated.

I was cleared for any exercise at 2 weeks. You'll have to wait and see how you feel, but you should probably be fine. I went back to work at 2 weeks, no problems.
