    Thumbs down Trouble drinking water

I wanted to get some opinions on an issue I'm still having. Plain water is not going down easily. It makes me nauseas and uncomfortable. I've tried it cold, room temp, warm - doesn't matter, it just doesn't work. Apple juice, crystal light, even milk all go down fine but the second I drink plain water. . . nope.

Anyone else have this issue? It started immediately post-op and the doctor in the hospital said that a lot of sleeve patients have issues with it right after surgery but I guess I never got past it? It's kind of infuriating, sometimes you just want water!

I'll be 14 wks post VSG on Friday, and I cannot drink plain water. It still makes me queasy. I can drink anything else no problem, even take several normal sized swigs, but plain water? No can do.

That is so strange, I wonder what the cause of that is? At least I know I'm not crazy! Everytime I tell
People that they seem very sceptical, but it's true!

I've been drinking herbal tea for months because I couldn't stand plain water. It got better around 3/4 months, but still today only iced water goes down well. In Asia they usually serve water at room temperature so when I'm out I have to drink iced tea or order mineral water and ask for "only fridge water", they don't always have it available..

I'm the same way. I drank loads of plain water before surgery but now I can't. It makes me nauseous. I mix it with crystal light or any sugerfree powder and I have no problem. Just can't drink it plain anymore

I'm tolerating plain water fine now. I do find the powder sugar free packs are a bit much now. I have to use only abt 1/4 of a pack. Also the lift drinks are gross to me now. Can't drink them at all
