Cool Anyone else feel like this?

Do any of of you sleevers ever take a step back and think holy sh*t I did it? Sometimes it just hits me like all the research, all the prep, all the searching for answers seemed like it took forever and then all of a sudden you wake up one morning and are like omg I really did it!

Sometimes it just hits me, it was a lot to go through but we made it through! Wohoo

Not so much anymore, but def in the beginning. Now I hardly ever think about it, which can get me in trouble with eating too fast or too much!

Almost every day for me! It's surreal!

There really isn't anyone I can call and talk to about it, sometimes I will call my daughters or tell my partner, but they worry. It's just little things that I go through daily that kind of stop me on my tracks.

It's a good feeling I get, happy that I had the courage to go with it.

Yes, I still do as my surgery was 8-1 so ending my first month. I have thought several times as well why I was so sacred to do this 9 years ago when I got the lap band instead. So far so good and look forward to hearing everyone else's success stories. Thanks for sharing

Im 5 days post op and I've had that thought a few times!! Especially after I woke up in recovering!I'm so proud of finally making big steps toward my overall health and keeping it as private as I have. I have spent so many years worryin and stressing about others it's my time now!

I feel like that all the time. In the beginning it seemed like it was going to take forever to go through all the hoops for the insurance and now I'm 22 days post op. It's not been fabulous but it's getting better every day!

Well, I'm still a week out but I do sometimes stop and think (usually at night when I am in bed before falling asleep), "Holy crap! After 2 years of going back and forth with this decision, I can't believe I am ABOUT to do this! I'm kind of a bad ass!" Lol!

I dream of being able to shop other places than online plus size websites. I dream of being able to wear one of those cute little rompers so that everyone is wearing these days. I dream of being able to wear a pretty, elegant one piece bathing suit without a skirt on it with confidence so I can play in the pool with my son while on vacation. I did not get into a suit the entire summer this year. :/

I still feel like that most days, i am now at my lightest weight since i was 21yrs old, sadly i will never wear a swim suit, my legs are a mess with veins, i am in my smallest clothes in my wardrobe, 27 yrs i have had them saying to myself " One day i will wear it again" well that day is here and i love it, nearly 50yrs old and i love myself again enough to do this and work at it everyday, i know there will be hurdles but with the weight loss i can jump over them and land on my feet

I am thrilled every time I look in the mirror. Or take my jeans out of the dryer and fold them, thinking, "Wow, these are small!" The fat insecurity does follow me around though, I'm always asking my husband if I look like a regular person. He always says YES and quit asking.

Now if they could only invent a surgery to be younger, I'd have it made.

We just got back from vacation and the biggest thing I noticed was how baggy my clothes looked on me in the photos.

It's funny because anyone not going through this would think "oh that's so vain" but these things are more than just what you look like and cute clothes, it's a sense of freedom and a feeling of comfort that we all have been missing all these years. It's knowing you can throw on a pair of jeans and t-shirt and feel good in it. Not constantly pulling on what you're wearing to make sure everything is covered. It's wearing things because they are cute and you like them more than just because they work. I totally understand what you're saying. I can't wait for someone to say lets go to the beach or go swimming or to a water park and my mind not instantly going to the logistics of what my body will be doing during these activities. Here's to the freedom!
