    Default This is HARD

So my surgery date is 10 days away. 8/25/2016. I have been on the clear liquid diet for 5 days and I am STRUGGLING YA'LL! The protein I purchased was not bad at first but now I have to literally choke it down! Please let me know what kind y'all are using. The kind I have only comes on vanilla and chocolate and I need me a variety. I have to admit, the very first day I felt like I was going to
Pass out and so I ate a slice of bread. Today (my 5th day) was the very worst. I've been crazy crabby and starving all day. I caved and ate a tablespoon of peanut butter this evening. I am afraid the doctor will know about these two little cheats. After I cheated this time I felt so guilty and kind of ashamed. :-(. Anyway I am a 242 lb woman, desperate to be at a healthy weight, and I'd love to hear some encouragement and advice. I sure need it right about now!!!

Isopure and Syntrax Nectar are two of my favorites...They're both clear and fruit flavored.

The purpose of the pre-op is to shrink your liver. It also helped me prepare for healthy post-op behaviors. And to get my head right!

I kept that desperation in the forefront of my mind.

Best of luck as you embark on your journey!

I was lucky to only have to do 5 days. Others don't even have to do it at all! I feel your pain, but it will be worth it in the long run. Good luck!

If it helps, I was told I could drink all the protein shakes I wanted. I even froze the chocolate ones and they tasted a little like a Wendy's frosty.

I drank Premier protein shakes and drank as many as I needed pre surgery. I would have 3 or 4 a day if needed. They filled me up and I also took liquid Vitimins. Kyani . Best of luck to you and hope your recovery goes well.
    Thanks

    Try PB2 - http://www.gnc.com/PB2-Powdered-Pean...uctId=15329556

I use it in both chocolate and vanilla mixes. Changes the flavor just enough but only use one teaspoon instead of two. Two teaspoons is way to strong for me. I use it with Muscle Milk Vanilla powder and EAS Whey Protein mix both have good texture and mix well with unsweetened almond milk.

I started to experiment with different types of protein shakes and adding some frozen fruit to them as some others here suggested. Made a huge difference! Tastes more like a milk shake than a sickly sweet protein shake (I'm not a fan of them but I'm gonna have to choke them down ).

All liquids is tough. I tried one all liquid diet in college (I weighed 123 lbs- WHAT WAS I THINKING???), and all I could think about was how badly I wanted to CHEW something, so I don't blame you for the occasional slice of bread!

I found mine two different places.

The EAS and Muscle Milk are at BJs and the PB2 I found at Safeway.

Labrada - Lean Body on the Go - REALLY good - I still drink them 4 years out quite a bit. Cheapest place I have found is here http://www.bodybuilding.com/store/la...dyonthego.html and I order them by the case and keep my pantry stocked then move a weeks worth to the fridge. It's more convenient and even cheaper with shipping then going to Walmart - alot of Walmarts don't even carry them - drove me nuts the last time I traveled and I couldn't find them at the local Walmart. I get my orders in less than 4 days.
