    Question Exercise, sweat, and hydration

Does exercising help you to drink more water? When I walk I become very sweaty and am concerned that I may be sweating more than rehydration can replace once I get my sleeve. Granted, it is between 86 and 104 degrees now. So wanted to know from you experienced sleevers if you are able to take in more water after working out.

Kindle, I am pre-surgery so am not yet measuring my H2o. However, I am very nicely hydrated now. Reading stories on this forum about dehydration have made me diligent about keeping hydrated.

I would suggest you start living like you had surgery now. Measure your hydrating fluids and shoot for 72-96 oz. with 1/3 being electrolyte fluid. After surgery every ounce of sweat means an added ounce of hydrating fluid to drink.

Exercise does help me to want fluids but for me it is more about staying hydrated.

Notice I say hydrating fluids and not water. Stay away from the full, calorie sports drinks. Those are loaded with carbs. Powerade Zero, Fiji, Smartwater, & G2(easy on G2) are all great hydrating fluids with electrolytes. Limit caffeine to no more than 24 oz/day but plan to drink more hydrating fluids.

That's what I do results may vary and it is all up to you!
