I only have one last nutritionist appt. next Wednesday then I'm on to the surgeon so excited!!! I'm just wondering how long after surgery before I will be able to ride my horse, anyone have any ideas???
Usually the surgeon will clear you for exercise around week 4 or 6.

You should probably check with your surgeon. I purposely had surgery in December so I wouldn't miss out on any riding. I live in Idaho so no trail riding in the winter And I don't do arenas. You (and your horse) are going to LOVE how different riding is after you lose weight. My favorite NSV is the new saddle I got to buy cause my butt got way to skinny for my old one!
I'm right there with you....my user name, Kindle, is actually my horses name. (Like kindling a fire, not the electronic device, BTW). That's us in my Avatar. I love being able to effortlessly hop up into the saddle without having to find a rock or stump to climb on first. My balance is so much better, I have closer contact and can feel her subtle movements that I couldn't before. Good luck!
Ask your surgeon. I always wrote down all my questions before my appointments so I didn't forget anything!
