Insanity Anyone??

So I was an Insanity instructor and Zumba instructor before I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer and then gaining weight from hypothyroidism earlier this year. Now that I am 6 weeks Post Op tomorrow... I wanted to start a new workout routine to help the weight slide off and tone while doing it with my own weight instead of lifting weights.

I am looking to see if anyone wants to take the challenge beginning 1 Sept and run through the end of Oct. It will tone that body and keep the skin tight as you drop pounds. I picked the beginning of Sept because some people might need to purchase the DVDS or find them in the closet (me lol). I know, I know...Insanity is hard it sucks, it hurt my needs (don't jump do an alternate exercise) and I never make it through the DVD...well you can always pause the DVD for water breaks just as long as you complete the workout that day.

So now that, that's out the way...what are your other concerns?

I don't have the Insanity DVD's but the BeachBody Brazilian Butt lift workout back from when I was using Shakeology. I have been thinking of those lately ;p Do does count?

My surgery isn't for 2 more days not sure if I'll feel up to it that quick but I do have insanity DVDs and you have me an idea have my own challenge once it's safe for me to work out. Thanks!

I have pretty severe arthritis all over- would that affect me being able to participate? I have to admit to feeling better these days than I have in months (years??) but am not too sure about the Insanity workout- suggestions? I certainly need to do something and would like to participate.

I would say utube a short clip and try it and see how you feel. I have a prior knee injury and I still do insanity. It just depends on your body, when I first started I would pause the DVD when I need too then resume it. So it took me a hour in a half to get through it...this was years ago, however, since I hadn't did any hard core exercising since Dec I may have to do that again lol for the first 2 weeks. After the first two weeks your body will get use to it and you should be fine. Again we all need to do what our bodies can handle... I don't recommend the jumping, you may need to just do a alternate exercise till you are ready to jump. Hope to see you 1 Sept.

Alright!!

We will begin 1 Sept so if you hadnt bought your dvds then you get into gear. The first day I will skip the fitness test and go straight into the program, I also skip the yoga video and add a workout in that day. I would recommend getting your fluids in and relaxing your muscles before we start this challenge and also signing up for a massage after the first week because you will be sore. Enjoy the challenge and let me know how your first day go!!

I didn't get the Insanity, but did find my Beachbody "Yoga Booty Ballet" workout dvd's they are six in total.

I'm also starting a Get Fit camp the week after next, meeting with a personal trainer 3x a week.

Are you starting a group for this challenge with starting measures etc. (if so what will those be?) we can check-in daily/weekly?
