Okay... this is why I ask. The last few months I have lost EXTREMELY slow. I try not to let it get me down or set me back. I was talking to my regular doctor (who had a bypass by my same surgeon), this is how she put it to me.
How many times have you lost a pound?
MANY MANY times. If I totaled them all up over the years probably 500 times. (Only to gain back two, or five.)
She said so what if this is the last time you will ever lose that pound?
Wellll... she makes a good point.
So, in my very slow trip down this hill I have tried to remind myself that even if its only one a week, or every two weeks in my case, that's hopefully the last time I will ever see that pound.
I know it isn't easy and we are/were all anxious to see results, but as long as my trend stays in a downward motion I am good with that. Its cliché, but I would kind of prefer the rest of my life to be a marathon, not a race. Not eager to get to the end of it all that fast and every day I feel a little better than the day before and I want to enjoy it. Not to mention, the mind and body do tend to adjust easier if the loss is a little slower.
Just my thought for the day
Blessings to you all.
